Chapter 1 The Rig Ved & The Solar System
I n the Vedas, there exists a treasure trove of revelations to the celestial movements of the planets. To begin with, the Vedas contain the Verses that reveal the (essence and structure of) Solar System that the western civilization understood only a few hundred years ago.
Some of the Verses on the Solar System:

The Rig Ved Verse 10.22.14: “This earth is devoid of hands and legs, yet it moves ahead. All the objects over the earth also move with it. It moves around the sun.”

The Rig Ved Verse 10.149.1: “The sun has tied Earth and other Planets through attraction and moves them around itself as if a trainer moves newly trained horses around itself holding their reins.’

The Yajur Ved Verse 33.43: “The sun moves in its own orbit taking along with itself the mortal bodies like earth through the force of attraction.”

The Rig Ved Verse 1.35.9: ‘The sun moves in its own orbit but holding earth and other heavenly bodies in a manner that they do not collide with each other through the force of attraction.”

The Rig Ved Verse 1.164.13: “The Sun moves in its orbit which itself is moving.
The earth and other bodies move around the sun due to the force of attraction because the sun is heavier than them.” Within these 5 Verses alone the Solar System and the force of attraction within the solar system is described in the utmost detail.
